The Day is Valentines day and what is the most common thing to get broken on this day...... the HEART.
What i advise and you can bet I have had my share of broken hearts:
1. Don't try and hide your feelings. The Worst thing to do is repress those emotions because at exactly the wrong time they will surface and create havoc. The best thing that i have found to do is get your favorite take out food and a movie that will help you thru the night and let it all go. If you live with someone i would go somewhere that is private. This allows your feelings to be released and have the mind do its job to calm you down. I have found that in the times that i do this step i have gotten over my broken heart more quickly.
2. Don't force yourself to be social. Yet another thing that harms a broken heart is the not so broken hearts of others in the social environment. These people are out in the clubs and bars to meet people you are their to forget about people. One of the biggest drops in social perception is when you have a broken heart because you just want someone to make you feel important and forget about the person who just broke your heart.
3.Stay in touch with friends and family. One of the best ways to keep your mind busy is to talk to others. Now you don't have to talk about your breakup however you should ask for advice because some of the people closest to you not only want to help but they have also been thru life and they could have advice and the experience to get you thru this.
